Attenuation Specs

FWR Faraday bags were measured at the Bundeswehr University in Neubiberg, Germany, according to ASTM D-4935-2010, IEEE-Standard 299-2006 and MIL-Standard 285.

Attenuation level of 90 dB means only one bilionth of the incident power penetrates the shielding bag. Compared to other available faraday bags with attenuation levels around 60 dB this means a thousand times better performance.

Measured shielding values of Generation 4 and generation M bags with 6+6 protective layers:

  • 900 MHz:             92 dB
  • 1.8 GHz:                102 dB
  • 2.1 GHz:                101 dB
  • 2.45 GHz:            100 dB
  • 2.6 GHz:              100 dB
  • 3.2-3.8 GHz:        96 dB

Measured shielding values of Generation 3 bags with silver coated velcros:

  • 800 MHz:             97 dB
  • 900 MHz:             97 dB
  • 1.8 GHz:                98 dB
  • 2.1 GHz:                93 dB
  • 2.45 GHz:             95 dB
  • 2.6 GHz:               95 dB
  • 3.2-3.8 GHz:        90 dB

Measured shielding values of specially modificated Generation 2.3:

  • 800MHz:              102 dB
  • 900MHz:              99 dB
  • 1.8 GHz:                96 dB
  • 2.1 GHz:                96 dB
  • 2.45 GHz:             95 dB
  • 2.6 GHz:               95 dB
  • 2.8-3.2 GHz:        90 dB

Measured shielding values of the test series of Generation M 1.3:

  • 900MHz:              90 dB
  • 1.8 GHz:                96 dB
  • 2.1 GHz:                93 dB
  • 2.45 GHz:             83 dB
  • 2,6 GHz:               80 dB

Measured shielding values of the original Generation 2 bags:

  • 800MHz:              50 dB
  • 900MHz:              56 dB
  • 1.8 GHz:                60 dB
  • 2.1 GHz:                58 dB
  • 2.45 GHz:             58 dB
  • 2,6 GHz:               54 dB

It has been proven that FWR's Faraday bags are the world-leading mobile device protection.
